Social Context of Anomalous Experiences

This site has been created to support an MRC-funded research program at King’s College London (2014-2019), exploring the roles of social context (in particular social threat or social safeness) and compassion in influencing how people relate to anomalous experiences.

The research program comprises 4 studies:

  1. Social context of anomalous experiences – an online study [STUDY CLOSED]
  2. Social context of anomalous experiences in daily life [STUDY OPEN]
  3. Social context of anomalous experiences in a spiritual support-seeking population [STUDY OPEN – *participants needed*]
  4. Compassion Focused Therapy for distressing experiences [STUDY OPEN]
